MIM / CIM
MIM

The MIM is a metalworking process where finely-powdered metal is mixed with a calculated amount of binder material to comprise a feedstock capable of being handled by injection processing equipment through a process known as injection mold forming. The MIM process is typically explained as four steps (Compounding, Molding, Debinding and Sintering) to produce a final part or device that may or may not need final finishing operations. MIM process is most applicable to materials that are difficult to machine, materials with multi-phase microstructures, or high work hardening materials.
Using MIM technique is possible transforming complex concepts and designs into high precision, superior final properties and net-shaped products and is commonly used to manufacture parts and devices weighing from 0.1gm to 250 gm. Cross sections are typically less than 6.35 mm. but, parts are not limited to this combination of mass and cross section. Tolerances are on the order of ± 0.3 to 0.5%, although specific dimensions can be held as close as ± 0.1%. An assorted variety of metals are capable of implementation within MIM; these contain the same alloying constituents found in industry standards for common and non-conventional metal applications.
Dent-ortho is the first factory applying MIM to manufacture orthodontic products, which make sure all products with high precision and hardness.

CIM
Ceramic injection molding (CIM) has been practiced for more than 30 years, however,it has been delimited to specific applications with artless geometries such as the ceramic cores for investment casting.Dent-ortho expertise on Ceramic Injection Molding (CIM) has mastered in applications for several industries through the intelligent feedstock formulations searching for material properties requirement such as chemical inertness, high temperature stability, wear resistance and electrical insulation offering to our customers a cost-effective production of parts and devices with a range of geometric complexities.
Dent-ortho manufactures ceramic components with wall thickness of 1 mm and employs a color technology that can dye ceramics in various particular colors. The type of ceramic materials used is not restricted to alumina and zirconia. Please contact us if you have any question or doubt related to MIM and/or CIM applied to your industry.
